Hot air balloon

Independent Variable-
Materials of the balloon will affect on how heavy the balloon and how it will fly
Dependent Variable-
The balloon will only fly with a balloon with a suitable material, it will fly more efficiently if better materials are used
Constant Variable-
Type of fire, material of the balloon, size, weight
Hypothesis-
The balloon will fly more efficiently with a lighter and more durable material

Piano Stairs

Independent Variable
The programming in the Arduino will determine the note played but it is all relying on the programming.

Dependent Variable
The pressure sensor will only send the signal to the arduino if it senses an increase in the pressure on it.

Constant Variable
The weight of the people must not exceed 100Kg.

> Hypothesis
We hypothesise that the stairs will make sound when someone steps on the stairs, the pressure sensor will sense the increase of pressure and as a result will send a signal to the Arduino. After that, the Arduino will send an output (programmed) that it will make a different sound/ note of the piano on every step of the stairs. It will continue for a few octaves.

ISS project.

Using a quadcopter to deliver a package at a desinated GPS coordinates.

The robot will be a quadcopter, running off the ardupilot board, which uses arduino.

The person will have a wristband that when pressed, will send the GPS coordinates to a computer, which will tell the quadcopter to fly to the person, and drop a package at the person`s location.

The wristband will send the coordianates through wireless.

The quadcopter will drop the package by using a servo to open the bottom of the box too drop the package.

The quadcopter will have props that are 8 inch in diameter, with pitch at 4.7 inches. This means that the propeller when turned one round, will move 4.7 inches through the air. The thrust will be able to carry a addidional weight of about 2kg.

The scientific method.

The scientific method is a way to ask and answer scientific questions by making observations and doing experiments.

The steps of the scientific method are to:

Ask a Question
Do Background Research
Construct a Hypothesis
Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
Communicate Your Results

It is important for your experiment to be a fair test. A "fair test" occurs when you change only one factor (variable) and keep all other conditions the same.
