1.Introduction

We all love music. The concept of our project Piano Stairs involves the development of interactive musical installations that can be applied to almost any type of staircase. Our team has adopted Arduino Leonardo to achieve this engineering task. With an increasing trend in obesity and fast-paced lifestyle that people are leading, it is a well-known fact that there is an increased number of people who prefer to take the lift or escalator. Hence, we would like to propose the development of the musical Piano Stairs to make a change to peoples’ lifestyle. This topic benefits society as people will then understand the positive impact of their actions. Hence, engineers and governments can work together to put in place an education program to teach people about how we can lead a healthy lifestyle whilst saving electricity and protecting our Earth.
